Last year, Alexis + George got engaged in Africa...and didn't tell anyone. Besides some of their close friends and family, most of the people flying into Colorado on June 2 believed they were going to be joining a surprise engagement party. Little did they know the tables would be turned on them!

The two started their day out at an AirBnb where they got ready together, surprised their forever bridesmaids + groomsmen, and then headed to Mockery Brewing Co. to surprise the rest of their people. When Alexis walked around the corner in a wedding dress, arms locked with her mother and father, mouths dropped and tears fell. By far this was one of the most intimate, laid back weddings I have ever photographed, completely filled to the brim with love + the most authentic joy.

Alexis + George are genuinely two of kindest, down to earth people I have ever met. I watched them pour out their gratitude to their friends, family, workers, and vendors. And before leaving I had a hand written thank you card in my hand. Together, these two radiate happiness and fun & emanate a strong spirit of love and belonging. It's obvious that they are two very loved individuals, and that completely reflects the way they fully care for every person they encounter. I am so happy for these two wonderful souls that they have found the greatest love, and adventure partners, in each other. It was both a blessing and an honor to share in celebrating their surprise wedding!
